Using the MRI Members' RSS Newsfeed
You have clicked a link next to an icon that looks like this
This icon tells you there are automatic news broadcasts from the members area of the Moores Rowland International web site. The news feed is a secure one protected by id and password. If you do not work for a member firm of the Moores Rowland International network you will not have access; instead you can get to a public newsfeed from here:www.mri-world.com/mri-world/mrimain.nsf/Pages/MRINews. If you work for a member firm but do not yet have access to the members' area, you will need to get an id and password first. Click here if you want to do that now.
The broadcasts are provided using a standard known as RSS (Really Simple Syndication). All you need is an RSS newsreader (otherwise known as an Aggregator) that can read secured sites. If you want to learn more about RSS, click here.
If you already have an aggregator installed, try clicking the icon. Some aggregators can recognise the icon and will automatically display a window allowing you to add the MRI newsfeed automatically. If your aggregator does not recognise the feed. You will have to use the aggregator's procedure to add the feed manually. The feed's address (also known as a URL) is http://www.mri-world.com/mri-world/mriMain.nsf/RSSNews.xml.
If you do not have an aggregator installed, there are plenty available for free. Click here to see a list from Wikipedia. Note that you will need an aggregator that can read feeds secured by user id and password. Some aggregators cannot do that, others require you to upgrade from the free version first.
