In 1956, 17 year old Thomas Laffey, immigrated from the isolated shores of Ireland to the United States in search of a job and opportunity.
He settled on Long Island and in 1968 he started investing in real estate. In 1974 he established his own residential real estate office and built a reputation based on quality service and hard work.
Over the next decade he opened 10 branch offices across Nassau and Queens counties. In 1997 Laffey Associates joined the Cendant Organization through CENTURY 21's Fine Homes and Estates division and is now the largest CENTURY 21 Organization in New York.
